Townsend Search Group is pleased to announce that Andy Matles has joined our team as a Director. Matles focuses on C-Suite and senior-level placements for our private equity and middle market clients nationwide.
Before moving into executive search, Andy’s career spanned corporate tax and technical roles in the manufacturing industry, as well as positions in public accounting. Andy pairs his analytical background with a relationship-driven, communicative approach that fosters deep partnerships with management teams and candidates alike, delivering successful hiring outcomes that advance businesses and careers.

Prior to joining Townsend Search Group, Andy worked as an executive recruiter at a mid-size search firm in Metro Detroit, focused on Accounting & Finance. He has worked with CFOs, Controllers, and hiring leaders on engagements and advising on workforce planning, compensation trends, and competitive positioning. Before that, he was a tax analyst for a global manufacturing company and a tax associate at a Top 50 accounting and advisory firm.
